About

Giulio Poggi is an archaeologist, Post-Doc researcher at the Centre for Cultural Heritage Technology (CCHT) of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). He is working mainly in the field of Landscape Archaeology, with particular emphasis on detecting past landscape features using different Remote Sensing technologies and Machine Learning approaches.

He is currently creating labelled datasets of archaeological features for Machine Learning detection and segmentation tasks on hyperspectral satellite imagery, within the project PERSEO.
