Biografia

Ilker S. Bayer is a research scientist at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (iit) since 2010. He received his Ph.D. degree in surface engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois in 2006. He is also a visiting professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the University of Virginia. His research efforts are primarily focused on functional coatings, hybrid nanomaterials, and the development of bio-based polymer composites for various engineering applications.
